Google Contacts
Search, add, or update a contact from any workflow
Contacts is a workflow builder integration that keeps one contact record current. You can search for a contact, add a new one, or update an existing one as a step in your workflow. If you keep a separate address book that drifts out of sync, this replaces it.

How it works
Add a Contacts step to your workflow. It can search for a contact to check whether one already exists. If none does, it adds a new one. If one does, it updates that record when new information comes in.
Because the step runs inside your workflow, the contact is created or updated at the same moment the information shows up elsewhere. A new borrower, customer, or vendor lands in your records right away, not in a batch job later.
Contacts sits in the same group as Gmail and Calendar. That means a contact record can feed who an email goes to, or who gets added to a Calendar event, with no lookup step outside the workflow.
Where this is useful
Freight and logistics operations
A new carrier appears on a rate confirmation, or a consignee's details change on a load manifest. Your workflow searches for the contact, adds it if it is missing, and updates it if it is not. Dispatchers stop copying names and emails into a separate list by hand.
Customs brokers
New importers and shippers show up on commercial invoices and entry summaries all the time. A Contacts step checks whether you already have them on record and adds or updates them as the filing moves along. Your client list stays current without a second round of data entry.
Lending and mortgage
Contacts keeps a processor's records in sync without a separate system to update every time a borrower's details change. When a loan application or income verification sheet brings new information, the workflow updates the borrower's record at the same time.
Manufacturing and procurement
Supplier contacts change often, and the change usually shows up first on a purchase order or a supplier price list. Your workflow can add a new supplier contact or update an existing one, then use that record to address the next email or invite the right person to a Calendar event.
General operations and finance teams
A vendor or client contact can be added or updated automatically the moment a new relationship is confirmed elsewhere in a workflow.
