How it works
NetCHB is Descartes' customs broker software. Brokers and freight forwarders use it to file import and export paperwork with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, including entry filings, Importer Security Filings, and Inbond movements.
An Inbond entry is CBP Form 7512, the paperwork that lets goods move under bond between U.S. ports before duties are settled. Filing one has traditionally meant someone sitting down and retyping shipment data into NetCHB by hand: slow, and easy to get wrong under deadline pressure.
With the new Docxster piece, your flow pulls the shipment details it already has, files the 7512, and the data lands in NetCHB with no manual re-entry. Since NetCHB is already where this filing work happens, Docxster connects to it directly instead of asking your team to work around it.

Freight and logistics operations
Rate confirmations, BOLs, and packing slips arrive in different formats from every carrier, and shipment details still have to reach the systems that move freight across a border. When those details already sit in your Docxster flow, filing an Inbond entry stops being a separate, manual task and becomes one less handoff between your ops team and your broker.
Customs brokers
Every Inbond entry carries compliance risk: a mistyped value or a missed field on a Form 7512 slows a shipment down or draws CBP scrutiny. Pulling shipment data straight from commercial invoices and entry summaries into NetCHB cuts the retyping step where those errors creep in, while still leaving room for your team to review before filing.
Manufacturing and procurement
Manufacturers importing components or materials under bond deal with the same Form 7512 paperwork as any other cross-border shipper.
